It’s the 21st edition of the World Football Cup already! Quite a hot time for all the fans of this sport, to be sure! As many as 32 best national teams are gonna compete there, including our white-and-red players, right?
Well, it’s not such a novelty anymore. There are a few games behind us now, some of them pretty grand. The Germans were defeated by Mexico, and Basil got a draw with Switzerland. Aye, important and exciting as these matches must have been, we still wait for the first game of our boys! And generally speaking, who’s gonna rock them all this time? Will the Germans keep their title or maybe other candidates, such as Brazil, Spain and France, are on their way to glory?
Do join us during this football wildness, cheer our team up either in your hotel room, hotel patio or at the special Fan Zones all around Wrocław! Where can you find them? See below!
#Fan Zone by the Centennial Hall
All of the 64 games of the World Cup and the final ceremony can be watched by the Iglica Monument (no doubt you will notice this extraordinary thing, for it looks like a needle, indeed), right at the Centennial Hall. This zone is large enough for as many as 1500 fans, and the matches will be broadcasted on large 4x7 m LED displays. Quite nearby, there shall be food trucks and takeaway stalls waiting, should you so all of sudden get hungry during a game. Some space for relaxation has been prepared as well, and in the evening, a DJ will warm you up with his beats. Yet, the organisers did not forget about kids either, so you can cheer the players on with your whole family. How to reach the zone from the Patio Hotel? Choose the tramway 4 or 10 and go to the Hala Stulecia (Centennial Hall).
#Match on the beach with the Oder in the background
What a crazy, yet immensely positive way to watch the game, ain’t it? Relax on one of our city beaches and cheer the teams on! Lazing around doesn’t necessarily mean something negative, quite on the contrary! The following beaches (amongst others, of course) will show the World Cup 2018: HotSpot Beach Bar by the Millennium Bridge (tramway 24, bus 103 and 104), Forma Płynna by the Wyspiański Coast (tramways 10 and 33), Odra Beach Bar in Zawalna Street (tram no. 7) and Prosto z Mostu – a beach by the Warsaw Bridges (tramway 6).
#World Cup on the big cinema screen
A small TV screen at home is not enough? Alright! You can watch all of our Polish matches, as well as the final game in the Multikino Cinema (Pasaż Grunwaldzki Shopping Centre) and in the Cinema called Oh Kino in the Arkady Wrocławskie Shopping Centre . How to reach these points? Take a tram from Kazimierz Wielki Street or a stroll of you prefer.
Many pubs and restaurants in Wrocław will broadcast the meetings, too. Since our Hotel cheers the Polish team on as warmly as every other fan, we want to tell you that you can see all of the 64 games on the screens of our room TVs, shown by the national television, TVP 1 and TVP 2.
So, guys! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the Polish team. May they rock there! Big football success is on their cards!
